Key Responsibilities:
- Managing quality control checks across various stages of production or service delivery, ensuring consistent quality in products or services.
- Working closely with production, procurement, and compliance teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes and offer technical guidance.
- Preparing and managing quality documentation, such as quality control plans, manuals, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Investigating product or process quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence.
- Handling customer complaints, analyzing feedback, and implementing quality improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to ensure alignment between QA and compliance requirements where applicable.
- Tracking and reporting on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, audit results, and compliance rates, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identifying skill gaps, arranging training for quality assurance staff, and promoting best practices across the organization.
- Leading and promoting continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science & technology, Biology, or a related science field (Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage).
- At least 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- A diploma in Quality Assurance, familiarity with ISO quality and food safety standards, demonstrated experience in conducting quality audits and upholding rigorous quality standards are advantageous.
- Proficient in English with strong computer skills.
